I'm curious to see how the market responds to the diesel option. It it's a hit, it may prompt others to follow with diesels in their smaller suv's.

I don't get it. It looks just like the Toureg (sp?).

Corporate styling?

It's a CR-V sized SUV... meant to compete with the smaller utes on the market.

Is a Tiguan as predatory and dangerous as a Liger?

I heard they had a public vote on the name, from a group of equally un-appealing made-up names...and this is what they ended up with?

I doubt it. Liger's are extremely large if you've ever seen one (Liger's AREN'T mythical creatures you Napoleon Dynamite fanatics...Lions and Tigers dont mate in the wild for obvious reasons.)

I hope other manufacturers follow with diesel engine options if diesel prices come down. Unlike Europe, gasoline is affordable here. I wonder if the extra mileage potential from the diesel would offset the cost difference between gasoline to make it worthwhile?

Thats what I thought on first sight. I'm curious how the diesel option will pan out, I think it is a good idea.
