What's restyled about it? A bit different lights? Please take no offense, but it looks like every othe Pontiac Sedan.

I like the front lower facia, very nice with the recessed amber lights. They finaly broke up the fog/turn signal lights!

The grill looks way to small. I think they need to widen it, and add a little chrome ring around the inside.

That is what Audi, Acura, BMW, and Mercedes do.

Um.... isn't that the idea behind a brand's design?

Maybe you missed all of those words next to the pictures:
The front of the prototype clearly shows a completely different front end design. The twin grille openings are a bit bolder, with a more square shape to the openings and a slightly wider vertical bar between the openings. The front bumper is completely new, with an extra-large, under-bumper air intake opening, and round turn signals tucked into a recessed pocket on each side of the bumper. Fog lights (taped over on the prototype) are moved to either side of the black painted air intake scoop. This eliminates the odd-looking current design in which the turn signals use the upper half of the round light, while the fog lights use the lower half.

The prototype sports low-profile tires on handsome five-spoke alloy wheels. Looking through the wheel openings one can easily see that both front and rear brakes have red-painted calipers and use cross-drilled disks. The rear spoiler is also redesigned, looking a little larger than the one on the current Grand Prix.

Re: Virtually undusguised '06 GP GXP pics.

maybe it has the northstar V8 under the hood
Of course with cadillac going back to RWD, and most of GM's large sedans will too, are they going to continue to offer the northstar in a FWD car? Right now GM is down to two cars that use the FWD Northstar, the Deville and Boniville. Both of those cars are due for a complete redesign in the next couple of years, and I am speculating they go on the new RWD chassis, since both are pursing an upscale image.

The un-cammoed woodward GTO has squarish grilles with a wider speration between the grills. so that's Pontiac's direction for the front treatment???

Pontiac takes it to an ALL new level IMHO. I just showed my friend pics of this and said "Wow, it looks like a regular Grand Prix.....and a GTO....and a Grand Am...."

Re: Virtually undusguised '06 GP GXP pics.

Why would the Grand Prix GXP look vastly different than a Grand Prix? It is still a Grand Prix. The Bonnie GXP is still quite recognizably a Bonneville. A Cobra looks much like a regular Mustang... What's the problem here?

As for all Pontiacs looking the same: Park a GTO next to a G6 next to a Bonneville next to a Grand Prix (next to a Solstice) and tell me they all look the same. BMWs look every bit as much alike (if not more alike with their recent designs, with the apparent exception of the upcoming 3 series). 7 = 5 = 6 more than Bonneville = G6 = Grand Prix = GTO. IMHO.

Pontiac's been that way since at least the 1960s.

Nothing new there.
