That's funny - I heard a Senator on a radio program today who said: "We wanted to have only American cars included in this program, but let's face it, foreign makes just get better gas mileage."

I would imagine it matter what state the senator is from.

GM and Chrysler didn't go bankrupt, they went into bankruptcy protection.

A seemingly minor distinction, but it makes all the difference in the world.
