Red face Upcomming Chryslers.

A short list of Chrysler's future plans. The I'll let you guess what the "Intrepid Hatchback" is.

Question

Did Dodge give up on the new Charger with the 5.7L V-8 Cough*LS1-Clone engine*Cough ?

I though they had that program in the works, and I even saw the concept in person a few years back which ran on natural gas.

Ok, I did a search and saw your previous post about this guionM looks like it'll be a few years before the Charger MIGHT come back(2004 or 2005).

Too bad the Crossfire is way underpowered (215hp v6)and will sell for over 35k.

Except for the somewhat affordable turbo PT cruiser (22k-26k) nothing in the Crysler product line has my interest.

Of course the new 80k Viper is nice and the new 50k viper V10 Ram truck are cool but I need the money to pay the mortgage.

IMO the Charger is gonna happen. And it looks like they're gonna be going for some more performance in a while too.

That's not too far away. In less than 6 months we're going to see 2003 models. Also the upcomming Mustang will also be a 2005 model.

Thumbs up

I'm liking the idea of a 5.7 Hemi R/T Dak. I like them now, albeit underpowered like they are. May skip the wait, get an R/T and figure out how to swap a Hemi from one of the 2500 HD Rams. Shaker hood, Cuda exhaust, bee stripe on the back, sounds like my kinda ride.

A V8 ~350ci isn't exactly a new design. I wouldn't really call it an LS1 clone, unless you're basing that on something other than displacement?
