I can not give information on the car, except it was a stock 5 speed.....

rolling start....

it was close to about 60 MPH, and then the 05 GT pulled away....by 120MPH it had about 1 1/2 cars on the MACH

the 05 was also put up against a 01 Cobra with full exhaust and 4.11s...results were about the same.....

Rolling starts were done so driver would not be a factor....

I was not present for the race, but got information from a really good source, which I also can not give out.

I think we have a winner.......

 

The way I see it, both Mach I and '05 GT have similar HP and 3.55 gears. The GT has more brick-like styling, so it's a little odd to see it pull at the top end. Also, Mach I is capable of low 13's, and it appears from 13.6 AUTO GT that low 13's are possible for 5-speed GT. The conclusion of the matter is this: if anything, i would expect the GT to pull off the line, but not at the top end. If it's pulling at the top end, then

DANO! Stop going to STANGNET!!!!!!! The only thing that is helping the 05 0-60 is the throttle by wire. And go tell that kid who done the race "from a roll" to take the driver out of the stats is plain BS! God when will these kids start from a stop and get "REAL" results.
WHen will idiots realize there are so MANY other factors involved with a rolling start...

 

I watched an 05 GT run at the track and it ran a 14.10 and a 14.21 but they wouldn't post mph. I guess thats better than the mach I raced which ran a 14.30. The 05 was auto and the mach was a stick and track prep wasn't all that bad but could be better. The only way we will really know I guess is if you come across one on the street that will get on it.

Eh, maybe but the Mach and Cobra didn't exactly pump the doors of the 05. Either way, it tells us they are all very close as unreliable a test method as this may be.
