Another thing these cars are not about is being stock. They were made to be boosted. They are the Buick GN of Japan. Just as a GN goes from mid 14's to mid 12's with nothing but a boost controller, so too a Skyline goes from low 13s to low 11s with no more than the turn of a boost ****.
In fact, Nissan is bringing their in-house parts over here with factory warranties. But it's hard to imagine what the playing field will look like in four years.

Now they're gonna get their asses handed to them when they get imported here. riiiggghhtt.

Uhmm yea,,,,,,,yea riiiight, when in modded form. Maybe GM is going to supercharge or turbo the Z07, then lets see there be a horsepower war. Even if they come over stock for stock I bet the Z07 will hand the Skyline its *** in STOCK form. Then modding the skyline and bringing it to 1000hp will be no problem, but then the vette will goto LPE and be pushed ever higher. Its a never ending situation here boys and girls, how was that said? "There is no replacement, for displacement"

When I was in Australia I read in all the australian car magazines that the new skyline will not get the turbos in the U.S. they said a 400hp 5.4 DOHC V8 will be in their. Is this true or have the rumors already changed

I have heard the V8 rumor too, My be the 400HP V8 will be the base engine, and 480HP Turbo AWD V6 the upper model.

To bad for them the competition will be over 600HP by then

If they want to import the skyline over here with 1000hp or whatever, that just fine, but what does it really matter?
How many cars in that price range do you see on the road?

I am still waiting on a sports car in the 20-30k range with 400hp. For now the GTO will do

But if you guys have the 80-90k to buy them be my guest, I think I'll buy a house first.
