type R
Re: type R
I think the new Civic is a great step forward in design for its class (the exterior anyhow; the interior sucks). The Type R might be a bit overdone, but realistically that what its intended market wants. I wish GM had the ***** to try to advance the state of the art as much with its compact entries, rather than giving us the "competent" Cobalt.

All the show, none of the go. I can't believe they didn't up the power AT ALL.

Re: type R
Never a fan of the Hatch back with the flat back short station wagon back type cars. to short and feels too loose. Im sure plenty of people are though. The Front looks really good but so does the blue Chevy rendering...
Re: type R
It's not really a Civic - the chassis is from the Honda Fit.
I had a chance to drive the new Si while I was working as a Honda technician - I was impressed by two things:
1. Honda somehow managed to avoid a weedwhacker sound with this car. It sounded much better than most other 4-cylinders I've heard. It must have taken quite a bit of engineering to not make it sound ricey.
2. The car is equipped with a small shift light near the tachometer. For such a cheap car, this was a cool little feature.
That being said, I am completely opposed to everything that is Honda. I'll never own one.

Re: type R
A Type-R logo glows red at the cam change...
How many idiots is there gonna be now to try and duplicate this on other cars and have a type-r light come on like 1000rpm before redline.
