Judging from that, it is a pretty boring design. Hopefully something better is in the works.

If you look at the picture of the black camo car, it looks great. The quarter panel almost has a Mercedes look from that angle. From Cheersandgears:

This is going to be a good looking car.

The front end was obviously designed by the Silverado design team. Too bad.

I dont think its that bad. Id have to see the whole car but it looks like its right where it should be against the Accord and Camry. Consider that and it looks better than the current Accord. The Camry doesnt look good at all.

Looks like a mini-me version of the SS concept.

But you know something? Me like!

If there is an SS version and it comes in Patriot Red, I'm probably buying.

Withholding judgement.....

What I really don't like about the rendering on C&G is the size of the headlight casings....following the same stupidly annoying trend of the corners of the headlights going literally halfway up the fender toward the windshield....

Not bad, but with all the hype for so long about the looks of this car anything is gonna be anticlamatic. Im intrested to see how well this thing is screwed together.

Just tell yourself "It's still going to be a Malibu". Poof - no anti-climax.

My '67 Chevelle was "just a Malibu".

I will hold judgement until I see it in person in Detroit . GM media pics I think do their cars horribly wrong sometimes . I think in person thats gonna be a very good looking car judging from that pic . The current Malibu should look pretty much like a 3rd world car sitting next to it

I was worried at first but that front end looks OK. Not spectacular but OK. It's the interior that will sell the vehicle, IMO. The ergonomics and perceived quality of plastics, fit and finish that will judge the vehicle on its comparative worth.

QFT. In this segment, perceived quality of interior materials and piece fit are huge. A handsome car may bring them in, but it's the other stuff that closes the deal.
