Trailblazer SS update...

Went to check them out again.

Still a constraint on new orders, which means that you can't order one and rebates have been cancelled on the SS.

I checked another one out yesterday, I'm not much of a truck guy, but between the small business deduction for GVWR of over 6,000 lbs and all my GM points...I've been seriously considering one. But not if I can't order one. And not if I can't get a deal on one.

I have to admit though...the black one I drove yesterday, looked bada$$.

But see? The TB SS is just what GM needs...a car that can actually pull, you know, STICKER PRICE

Imagine that...deal or no deal, I love them. If I had the cash, I can't imagine a better DD for me personally. 0-60 as quick as an LT1, decent handling, and a comfortable, spacious interior. I love it...

Really, I agree Jason. But there is no way I'm spending anywhere around 40K for one. Not a chance.

Was this one a 2WD or AWD? It would also be intersting to see how close your Durango will be to the SS.

I don't argue with you at all on that one. I can't even bring myself to spend $26k on a loaded GP GXP, despite getting my GM card points upped from $1,900 to $3,000, courtesy of GM card through 3/31. Nice car, great price...

But like so many products from the General as of late, its just missing that look to me...

AWD.

The Durango isn't as fast and doesn't handle anywhere near as well as the TB SS....but it still has a nicer interior.

Re: Trailblazer SS update...

so, does anybody have any updates on the replacements for the GMT-360?

I can see the next Gen TB SS having the 6L80E and a version of the L92 with a nicer interior.

Either that or maybe Chevy will release a Tahoe SS or Tahoe Xtreme?

That's been killed.

The current GMT360 will soldier on with upgrades. Especially with the Lambda variants coming online, that makes perfect sense.

I keep hearing 'delayed' rather than killed....... resources were moved to get the GMT-900's out faster, as we know, and now to move Camaro & company along faster....

Even with the new crossovers, I can't see them abandoning this segment. It's still one of the best selling segments in the country.

Re: Trailblazer SS update...

The problem is, truck-based SUVs are still a boon to those who tow, and don't want a truck. Until a crossover can pull 5,000+ pounds, I can't imagine the BOF SUVs dying...but what do I know...

I just wish GM would've brought out a truck on the 360 platform.

They won't be abandoning this segment, the current GMT360 is rumored to get a new interior and sheetmetal down the road. GMT361 however appears dead.

Re: Trailblazer SS update...

It figures that GM finally has something that people will pay sticker for, and they didnt accurately predict the demand to suppliers, so there is an ordering hold on them until May or June.
