Trailblazer #2 only to Explorer

The Sept. Motor Trend has some figures on SUV sales and it has

1. Ford Explorer 103k
2. Chevy TrailBlazer 90k
3. Jeep Grand Cherokee 87k
4. Chevy Blazer 51k

As the Blazer gets phased out it looks like Chevy has a chance to take over the Explorer as the #1 selling SUV. While Im not overly enthusiastic about SUVs (except Typhoons ) it would be neat to see GM top one of Ford's staple #1 sellers for the past 10 years or something.

It would be interesting to see the sales numbers between all the platforms.....Trailblazer/Envoy VS. Explorer and gang.....

Who would most likely win????

Exclamation

What's really shocking is that the Grand Cherokee is only 3000 units behind Trailblazer with fewer dealers than Ford, let alone Chevrolet!

I don't think the number of dealers has anything to do with it. If you want a Jeep, that you can find a dealer, it's not hard.

While I agree that TrailBlazer may get a bit of a sales boost from Blazer going away, there is a pretty significant price jump (approc $4-5000) to move from a Blazer to a TrailBlazer with similar trim and equipment.... that might stop some from automatically jumping to TrailBlazer...
