Thier are rumors the Solstice may get a new name when it goes into production.

Thanks for the link! I'm on www.fiero.nl all the time but I completely missed that thread and those pics. Too bad the 2nd gen Fiero never came to life.

I can definitely see some of its styling cues in the 4th gen Firebird though, so from that perspective part of it lived on till 2002.

My god, every thread about the Solstice it has to be explained that the thing is not Miata sized, and is actually pretty wide and long.

I've seen one in person. Nobody who's seen the car in person compares it to a Miata. It does seem sized similarly to the Crossfire, though.

You've got that right. I took a close look at the one at the LA show. I'd advise anyone who thinks that thing is Miata sized to check it out in the flesh. It's at least as wide as a Camaro!
