Here's a translation posted by a guy at the Road and Track forums:
Here's what the ol' Mickster came came up with.

Top Secret exposed: Opel's new GT
End of January Bob Lutz, the man in charge of GM's worldwide product development came to Opel's central-design headquarters at ITEZ in Ruesselsheim, on a two day blitz-visite. And let himself be informed on the latest version of a highly secretive two-seat sportscar. This top-secret project is to become the reincarnation of the famed Opel GT, to cause uproar here at home meaning, Europe and Germany.
For the time being, Lutz wants to give the car to English sister-division Vauxhall to commemorate that divisions 100th Centenial birthday.
The Roadster-concept is based on the so called Tubular-component package, that in the USA was concepted to be used for the Pontiac Solstice, the Buick Bengal and Saturn's Sky.
Headquarters in Detroit however did not count on Opel and Vauxhall to be thinking more along American ideals, than the Americans themselves. Because while Detroit equips its cars with pedestrian 4-cylinders, the Europa delegation under the leadership of Mr. Burns and CEO Forster are envisioning a V-8 engine.
Gary Cowger, who is responsible for the US side of the business brings it to the point: "In order to stay within the limits of budgetary guidelines we have set for this project, we have developed a highly unusual and flexible RWD platform. This Matrix allows multiple GM-divisions- including Opel-obviously, to participate on this project. Because the price is to be kept at-around the targeted $20.000 dollar figure, the technicians are concentrating on the 4-cylinder. I can even accomodate talk about a six-cylinder but a V8 is tabu."
All new details about the new Opel GT can be read in the new AUTO-BILD, Number 10/2003 as of 3-7-2003 at kiosks, gas stations and newstores. ~Mk.

If they do re-badge this car as Camaro I sure hope they do a better of it than they did on the "GTO". In other words give the car some personality...
Will the LS1/LS6 fit in this thing....
BTW it looks good, just needs some more Chevrolet cues.

I think were on to something here. The car could easily look like a Chevy with a few changes to the front. (cant see the rear) I like the proportions, looks tough. And if other divisions can use parts of its achitecture, Camaro wont have to be such high volume. Makes sense to me.
i would never want a camaro that had anything to do with foreign companies, i would never want to buy a camaro built by foreign engineers or was based off of a foreign car, it should have "american" intentions only (drinks too much gas and puts out alot of power through a v8)
