Doesn't that 30k suggested price of the Grand Am interfere with the Grand Prix??? If true, I think the Grand Prix sales might suffer

I've been waiting for GM to build a decent AWD car. If they build this one in coupe form, I'll take mine in black please.

"I'm scratching my head over the Maxx," Philippi said. "I don't understand the customer appeal of a five-door. Why not just do a beautifully styled station wagon instead?"
I just wanted to add that I totaly agree with this part of the article. the "maxx" is ugly and unnecessary, with less room than a SW. the whole rear end of the car.. it just reeks --> http://thehollywoodextra.com/SSR/malibu2.jpg

I doubt that anyone can explain the existance of an hatchback with a an enormous blindspot. They say the station wagon market died with the coming of minivans and SUVs but I think that really bad design killed the wagons off. The Ford Fairmont was a horrible car in many ways, but the wagon version was about the best packaged car that I've ever seen - more load height than a full-sized Country Squire. It didn't even look that bad by the standards of the era. Even the spacious Ford Mondeo wagon, which never made it to the U.S. Contour range, was the best looking car in that European line.

If it gets just one person out of an SUV, then it's worth it.

Remember, this car isn't aimed at us.... It's a station wagon, guys.
