Yes . I'm glad they went that route. I wish they'd do the same for the Cobalt SS.

Turbo is a good choice

 

While I think it's totally awesome they finally have a turbo in there, it will hardly be a camaro killer.

If it makes 240hp it'll be good for mid/high 13's @ 100-103mph IMO.

 

Simply awesome. The Solstace is what GM needs right now. It's a steal, and with the performance that they are planning... ooh yeah. Gotta love it.

I think this vehicle will start seeing a performance after market following. Turbo always is easy to squeeze more juice out of. Even if stock it runs 13.8 - 14.0, it will take next to no mods to get this into 12's.

 

i REALLLLLY hope GM takes that to the SKY too, cuz i'd buy the crap outta one of them! i wont be able to afford a vette 2 years outta college, but i might be able to afford that.

 

That's cool that it's got a turbo, but the best the could do with the name was "Ecotec"? Sounds kinda lame.

 

o man the newer the car the more wires and hoses all over the place, i hope the production model doesnt look like a wirey mess

oh yeah BTW the car is amazing looking and the dual exhaust looks awesome
turbo 4cyl, this looks liek GM trying to make a competitor for teh SRT-4 (even tho the platform is diff , it being RWD the cobalt SS and Redline are no match for the SRT-4)
