smart idea?

first year cars usually have a few bugs that need to be worked out
i'd hate to see them get bit in the a** by this with something just a little out of spec

The Cobalts engines and trannies are proven tech. The ecotec has bee out for a few years now.

true, i had forgotten about that
it's the first for the supercharged engine though right? has that been used already in something else?

Saturn ION Redline has it, also. Im pretty sure you could get it dealer-installed on Cavaliers, too, and not have it void your warrenty.

Saab uses a Turbo version of the same engine. (since 2002/2003 )

As was stated in another thread, GM needs to do this across the board. Bout time we got some form of a decent warranty out of GM. A better warranty can only help attract more customers into your showrooms IMO.
