That is going to be one HELL of a car!
As long as they can keep the price reasonable and control the dealers (regarding price gouging) AND get the car ro market at the right time (not in the dead of winter), they will have a winner.
And I love the yellow. That appears to be the same yellow Pontiac used on the Collector Edition T/As. The color and car really complement each other very well.
I like it alot.

However, it needs full gauges with a boost gauge (if it does not have those) and it needs an M6.

I think it is the black grills. Chrome would look VERY nice but flat black doesn't excite me.

Its definitely going to be an exciting car. I can't wait to see what kind of aftermarket support it is going to get.

Auto and Manual? They are really taking a huge leap forward in the scheme of things... I would have never believed they were going to offer an auto in the GXP, especially since an auto isn't even offered in the base.

Maybe this means, though, that the base will be getting auto's for 2007MY?

Sweet!! i like....alot. Looking forward to the sky redline.

i didn't read the whole thing, but does the GXP ditch the Colorado sourced 5spd manual?? I remember reading that it would get a 6spd.

Edit: never mind. Looks like it still has the 5spd.

Second half of '06 is when the Aisin AT comes online in the base car...not '07.

Sweet. I think I like the LS2 Mallett Solstice better though.

For the price, the mallett isn't worth it (too close to vette). This GXP should be priced well though and worth every penny.

Jason E:

I don't think the 5 speed auto in the Solstice is an Aisin. The manual is, but the auto is the GM Powertrain 5L40E (or 5L50E, whichever), I believe.

The five speed manual is an Aisin.

The automatic is a 5L40E. (I was thinking Aisin was building the auto too )

Automatic comes online early 2006 according to GM literature.
