Solstice coupe!!!
Solstice coupe!!!
After the convertible was approved I beleive the coupe version was dead
Car and Driver quoted Automotive news as saying that the coupe has a good chance for a 2007 model
Anyine else hear this?
This would be great. Cheaper, lighter and faster the convertible
Convertibles are nice but I would never want one for a daily driver. The Solstice coupe had some classic lines to it as well.
I could see a coupe outselling the convertible.

Re: Solstice coupe!!!
There is a coupe version being developed for the Solstice. Pontiac would like to race the Solstice in the SCCA events, but the rules require a hardtop. There are two thoughts. One is a new coupe version of the Solstice, the other is a removable hardtop version.

A removable hardtop would make this car a must buy for most people.

And people have been buzzing about seeing a LOT of new unexpect stuff soon. Wasn't there also reports of a Chevy Kappa being tested in Az?

Re: Solstice coupe!!!
C&D indeed did report a Solstice coupe is being worked on for an '07 debut...it did NOT say it was necessarily just a removable hardtop for the convertbile, either
I was under the impression this is a full blown coupe!
Maybe I was wrong to suspect all the doom and gloom for Pontiac too quickly?
