So, who got their PHR?

I just went through the article, which was rather large, and it basicly runs down on why the Camaro died. The Kris Horton design based off Crispey's design looked great, but IMO, still way too retro, but GM could fix that. If GM just put on a different nose on the car, they have an agressive car with little retro cues in the design. That, and then take off that fender thing, and make it a full fender flare.

I got my copy. I like the fenders though. I agree that the car is very retro but I still think it looks cool.

So it looked alright?

I haven't gotten mine yet, should be here by Monday. I look forward to seeing it!

Mike,

It's the Domestic Disturbance issue with the Chevy II on the cover.

Car looks awesome...flares are badass!

I agree on the nose though, i think it needs to look a little more mean! has a 67 look to it, i'd like to see of a 69 look and maybe have a different nose as an option with some hidaways!

I know this has been beaten to a pulp, but where would they go from here?

progress each year as a retro...i.e. 67=07, 68=08, 69=09...and so on?

or just totally change the car after 3 years of a complete 1st gen retro...

i have no complaints, its going to be interesting for sure!

I think what people fail to see is that by doing a retro design, you are only limited by your creativity. I don't think that a company then should stick to purely retro but rather evolve a design as a completely new one. Forget how the first-gen evolved and update the new car based on new ideas. I don't think it's that hard...

*tear* Thank you. Some people would never know that the person that made the famous 5th gen drawing just said that.

I agree 100%. I do like your design, very nice. You have quite the tallent.

Picked it up this morning at 7-11. It came packaged with a free copy of GM Hi-Tech Performance (which I already subscribe to). Kris's modeling skills are top notch. Its basically a 3D rendered version of Chris Pauwels' (crispey2k) infamous drawing. I kind of wish Kris H had modeled Sharpshooters version as several people had told me it is closer to the prototype, but I imagine Kris was just doing as told. (I hope he was able to make some good money for all his hard work.)

People who frequent this site and others might be in for a disappointment with the article as much of this stuff has already been know for quite some time. Still its a great piece and the folks involved (Guy, Johnny, Kris and Chris) should be given props for getting the word out to everyone else.

It wasn't a waste of my $5.

Now just build it GM!

I love the car. Kris do you have a website or something with your different renderings collected?

Sure do, though it hasn't been updated in a while. I will be doing some work on it this weekend probably.
