So whats the update on the Code 130R and other platform mates?

Exclamation So whats the update on the Code 130R and other platform mates?

Just wanted to see if anyone knew where GM stood on the car now that its the front runner for being produced. Is it a go? Is Caddy and buick getting a version..Just curious to know whats going on with this little RWD coupe.

Well the 130R is on the Alpha platform so Caddy already has the ATS which should get a coupe version down the road. Haven't heard much about the 130R though. There's another RWD platform on the way (Omega), which will be for larger, premium cars and crossovers. We'll see a flagship Caddy sedan and possibly the next Escalade or a Buick. GM did just trademark the Riviera name - I'm looking forward to a nice Buick coupe.

GM did send it on the international Auto show circuit. Lots of talk and rumors about it heading down under as a revived Torana. That would be appropriate since the first talk of an Alpha platform was on the Torana concept. It also seemed to do well when showed in China. Spread it around the world to help keep it at the entry level cost it should be at in Chevy’s line up.
