GM's media page. It's a pic released from GM off in the corner. Wagoner, Lutz & Henderson are all in front of a Chevy Camaro in clay.

Looks as if they had the spear split the headlights again.

I see a lot of the Chevy SS in the grille, but with the bar matching up with the bottom of the headlights.

Different from Camaro.

Maybe??? An early artists rendering perhaps? After all, if they'er just working on the Camaro clays, this could have been 2 years ago, and if that was the case, the Volt could have still be conceptual....

I think the picture is not nearly clear enough to make distinctions like that.

EDIT: It looks just as much like a Volt as it does a Camaro... maybe it's a Volt.

My guess would be an iterative design during the development of the Camaro. Other than the front, I think it looks a lot like the finished product. Isn't that also the red concept in front of the display?

CLEAN - The Volt went from a concept to what we saw in Detroit in about 8 months.

Plus, the Volt is going to be based off of GM's next generation compact car architecture.
a full scale production Volt, which will ride on GM's next generation global compact architecture is not expected until the 2015 - 2018

No reason for it to be in the RWD design studio.

Why does it HAVE to be a RWD?....

It could be an alternate design study for the Malibu. Whatever it is, I still don't care for Chevy's "global face".
