So... what happened to the sheetmetal freshening for the 04 Monte Carlo & Impala?
I see a disurbing trend at GM, hopefully it will change, but they take a new car, and never update it visually during the course of it's lifespan, except maybe a new wheel offering at some point.
Cases in point:
Grand Prix: 1997-2003
Venture: 1997-2003
Malibu: 1997-2003 (EDIT: Venture and Malinu did get a new grill in 2000... so I guess they did do something
)
Corvette: 1997-2004
Impala: 2000-2004 maybe more
Monte Carlo: 2000-2004 maybe more
Of course they have freshened some such as the J-cars, the small and full size trucks... but this is becoming rather uncommon now.
And even the cars they do it on are rather infreuent. S-10 went from 1993 or 4 to today with one freshening... Cavalier went from 1995 to 2004 with 2, but the one in 2000 was barely noticable.
I'm not sayign change evrything every year, but every couple years, throw some new taillight lenses or something on there to at least make them look new(er) ...
