If GM were to bring back a retro Camaro, then they would do a retro of the 1st gen, not the 4th gen. They will always make a retro vehicle of the earliest model, and I think (my opinion) the 1st gen design is more appealing and known to the public. So I think the SS concept is mroe of a statement by GM saying that they aren't out of the game quite yet.

Here is a LINK that is from Gmhightech and they say that the SS concept is based on the Trailblazers platform just like the SSR.You guys always jump to think that this is a Camaro when the R in SSR means roadster. This is a coupe of the SSR vehicle.

Was the article written before or after the SS's specs came out?

All I can say is Chicago will be Chevy's show (at least within GM!). Especially if you like fast cars.

You're killing me here buddy!!

Feel free to IM or email me if you dont want to post something to protect a source...

I'm trying to figure what this could be...

C6 preview? (Seems too early)
A C5 special edition or something above Z06?
An actual Chevelle?
RWD Monte / Impala Concept?

... a Camaro?!?!

We know this is where the Supercharged Impala SS and MC SS are to debut... Is this also where TrailBlazer SS debuts?

But you did say cars so the TB SS can't be it....

OK... now you got me going back to the who Lutz comment about a Camaro concept being out before the last 4th Gen is sold from months ago...

I think you nailed it. From a logistics standpoint its too early for a Camaro concept, and most of the "concept" vehicles were unvailed on Sunday. The C6 is the only one that makes sense.

There won't be a Corvette concept before Corvette comes out, so we can squash that one. Seems Team Corvette wants people to remember the instant they 1st saw the new Corvette.

If you want to know anything about the C6, look underneath the XLR. Word is it's identical.

That's why I guessed C6, since the XLR is already "out", the C6 announcement shouldn't be too far off.

You said fast Chevy... what else is there?

At least let us know if its something old or something new?

Fast Chevy says to me: Chevelle, Nova, or..............Camaro.

Cars ruled out are: new Impala SS, new MC SS, Corvette.

Maybe Chevelle SS... at least Chevy had previously mentioned it as a possible 2005 model.
