I plan on trading my 97 and a decent downpayment to purchase an 07 Whenever it comes out. Question is... I heard the Z28 model will unfortunately only be coming out with a 5.3 with only 300 HP... Meaning unless they do some suspension wonders it will actually be SLOWER than 4th Gens... So whats the known specs of what this car wll be coming out with? I want to know so I'll know if it's worth the time and wait or if I should start shopping for an 02...

Have you not read any of the threads here?

 

1. 2007 isn't locked in stone, or even jello for that matter. Until it gets to final approval, it's all still an exercise.

2. Only people who have been in hiding the past year haven't heard that the 5.3 is going up past 340 hp in the very near future (but not for FWD applications).

3. How did you come to the conclusion the next Camaro's going to be slower?

4. Finally, where on earth did you get the idea that theres going to be ANY specs on a car that's still at the very minimum 2 years from production?! Solstice is just now in production & we didn't get actual specs on it till last winter!

 

Go buy that '02.
