So the ComfortTreads are NOT performance tires??
ahahahaha....silly Dodge. I thought the Goodyears were only for the SXT. I would figure that they would put on a set of RS-A's or something equally as worthless.

I'll vouch for the new Impala.
I run a lightly modded 94 Z that runs 8.3's all day long. I believe the impala in question was a unmarked. It had the very large tires and firm suspension. It ran up on me after i merged in highway traffic from a stop (toll booth) I was running 70, he caught up to me like i wasn't moving, drove around me and nailed it. I figured I'd return the favor and pass him back, I know its immature but we both ran from 70 to 110-1120 ish, I never got around him or closed the gap. I back off quickly in case it was a dective or undercover car. Like I said my Z is running 8.'3 at 81mph in 70 degree muggy AL heat all day, this sucker hauled *** away from me. Am I corrrect in asuming its a cop spec Impala SS without the SS trimming's?
I agree make that bastard in RWD and we go something

Re: So C&D says the IMPALA has too much engine for the rest of the car???
well.......IF it were an Impala 9C1 (police package) ...it would have the 3.9 liter V6 -- not a V8 (cooling issues are being worked on.....)
Easiest way to tell would be to look at the wheels.....or, of course, did it have SS wheels???? Grille is also different on the SS -- crosshatch design rather than horizonal bars.
The 3.9, incidentally, is faster than the supercharged 3800 series in the last Impala SS............
