Sneak peak at new Cadillac NAIAS 2010 Concept

Cadillac will premiere a new concept car at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 12, the latest in its series of dynamic designs. This latest concept advances the brand's Art & Science philosophy that has included a series of acclaimed concept cars in recent years, such as the Cadillac Sixteen, CTS Coupe Concept and Converj.

everything i've read says it's going to be fwd to replace the sts/dts. i know it's going to be built on epsilon II which can be either fwd or awd. so i guess we'll find out for sure at NAIAS

I've heard FWD/AWD.

BTW, although it will be initially only offered with a V6 - the engine bay will package a V8.

Caddy just may have a money maker with this car....

Which V8 do you think they will use?

IF it ever gets a V8, something in the Gen V family I'd imagine.

Just a side thought.....

IF the XTS ever gets a V8 with it's AWD, all that engineering work will already be done for a next gen AWD/V8 Impala SS. Complete and total speculation on my part - but fun to think about.

You missed this part about Caddy....

The 2011 CTS-V Coupe will make its world premiere in Detroit as well, and will enter into production in the summer of 2010.

Not sure what you expected. To look like a Toyota, perhaps??

Anyway, I agree with Charlie. Between the latest great looking (by all accounts) design combined with the relatively low cost Espilon architecture, I strongly believe this thing is going to a big hit for Cadillac and make bank for GM.

FWIW, it will be both FWD & AWD, even if not initially.
