I drove the roadster this week.
Not too bad.
Slow as molassas, but could really carve a turn.
Powertrain made funny noises (the engine is about the size of a small microwave).
All the time I was driving it I had visions of being wiped out by a K3500 diesel with a snowplow out front.

ahahah, there was a lot of these things at NYIAS. These are really popular in Europe. Cops have them for little european streets.. but when they come to america, they need to really add flare and some "red neck" to them... well here it is.

4 Viper seats. And I think that roadster has a 3cyl motor. I would rather take an Aveo.

My opinion, as a person who's lived overseas, is this type of vehicle would never work in America. European and Japanese roads are small and "tight" for lack of a better description. Their cities are crowded in a way that is hard to explain and quite frankly needs to be experienced. Many city dwelling Europeans don't even have cars and those that do rarely drive very far. My friend in Aberdeen couldn't believe how far apart things in American cities are. He walks to the grocery store around the corner, eats in a restaurant down the street, goes to the movies a couple of blocks away, etc...European cities have all these things close together. Anyway, those who have been there know what I'm talking about.
In Canada we get the Smart fortwo tdi this fall.

RWD, tailgate ...I plan on taking a look and drive on a really cold day in January. Could be the ultimate commuter/grocery getter/statement car.

Just what you need in Canada .... 99% of the country is open highway and trees. (except for your prairie people ... no trees)
I bet a good collison with a moose is gonna hurt

I suppose I'm in the minority, but I actually like the looks of the roadster and roadster-coupe. Then again, I drive a Fiero and am used to being dwarfed in traffic by Suburbans and Excursions.

Get a Honda Insight instead or a Toyota Prius (Honda is better).
