Skyline GT-R coming to US??

Things just keep getting better. This would be a perfect replacement car for me in a few years. It will definatly be an interesting competitor to the corvette

That's been rumored for quite some time. However, it's also been rumored that it will compete more with the supercars in performance AND price. From what I've heard, it would not be had for less than 60,000. I'll see if I can dig up some of the other articles I read about it.

They already sell the Skyline here, but they call it Infinity G35 instead

What is the difference between the G35 and GT-R?

Here are some specs. These may not be too impressive at first glance, but this car is highly tuneable with a turbo 6 and AWD.

i read on the nissan board a while ago that the builders of the new Skyline GTR are taking dead aim at the Porsche 911 Turbo(!)...I think it has the potential to be a great car, and i've always loved turbos with high boost...But i think the price of admission for this car will be VERY high, since the current ones cost high $40,000, i think. I also read a rumor that it would be badged as an Infinity to take advantage of the upscale dealers...expect the price to be AT LEAST $55,000

Part of the Skylines greatness isnt so much in its stock numbers but the fact that its easily upgradable and can make insane amounts of power quite easily. Combine that with AWD and high tech computers running everything and you have a pretty awesome car. Stock they run something like a mid 13 quarter, but throw a few up grades on them and youll run 11s in a stock appearing car which is 1000% streetable. The fastest drag cars are RWD though. The cars also have excellent handling.

If they could sell this car around the price of a Z06, or even a little more ($50-$60k) I believe they could make a killing. I wouldnt be suprised though if it was priced somewhere near the NSX though.
