Gosh, I hope so. Otherwise I don't see myself buying anything in the near future.

Its how they should have built the Z28. Stripped down and ready to run. They could have lost about 300 lbs of junk that isnt needed on the Camaro and sold it for a few thousand less.

I'm sure the SS is in the computer, but is it the regular cab? I posted a similar question on SilveradoSS.com and the response I got was it wasn't for sure yet. I hope they build it just like it is, but GM will water it down I bet.

You COULD buy a Z28 or an SS like that right up thru 2002 . 6-speed/3.42's , manual cloth seats , no fog lights , no t-tops , Manual locks , crank windows , non-leather wrapped steering wheel and all . Add 1LE as your 1 and only option and that add some susp. stuff , Koni adjustable front shocks as one them . 1LE could be had on a SS too .

Most people wouldnt know that because a dealer would never order a car like that and they dont want u to know there available like that. They make thier cash off LOADED cars , bs , but true .

Personaly I think most of them should have been made that way and then add options. I've never seen one as described on a lot. Most are heavily optioned like mine. The SS Silverado is supposed to be a regular cab.

The first Silverado SS's will be extended cabs and are very high dollar. Base MSRP is $39,995. The regular cab SS is just a concept now. Hopefully it will go into production, but it'll be on 04 at the earliest. Go to www.silveradoss.com and register for the message board over there. You'll find all you want to know!
