Silverado SS Pace Truck.

It sure looks better when it's lowered like that.

More pictures, and more info. Its not even a "real" SS.

Take that pace truck, ditch the extended cab and pace truck equipment, and that's what the Silverado SS should have been.

Yeah, it would even be cool with the 5.3 in the Pace Truck.

What are the specs on that 5.3L? And why did they decide to go with it instead of 6.0?

I wonder how costly it would be to attempt a clone - only make it the way everyone wants......
A 2WD Reg cab short box, lowered with SS rims and all appearance stuff. Keep the 5.3L and add a blower.
A nice tonnaue(sp?) cover and a kickin stereo.
I guess the only drawback would be the tranny - very costly to convert to a 6 speed and the A4 is undesireable.

Odd. I went to the Kansas Indy 300 yesterday, and the trucks there were red Silverado SSes. Not pace trucks though, just crew trucks and one sort of "wrecker." I think I have a pic one one, it was sitting behind the Corvette pace car. I'll check tonight when I get home from work.
