Ford Focus RS WRC. Focus' engineering is standardized, so there shouldn't be a reason these pieces can't be imported and added to our Focus here. I'm sure a $5-7000 markup would more than cover any additional costs of this package.

If Ford produced an AWD Focus with WRC styling cues, I would be first in line to buy one! That doesn't mean I would trade in my 'Bird for one, but I think that would be an awesome car

Thumbs up

YES. They should!

That would make a very fun disposabe commuter car. I'd conisder one seriously.

The rear wing doesn't sit well with my tastes, but the front view with air dam and splitter looks AWESOME, IMO.

I'd need more spec's before I made the final decision though.

My thoughts exactly.

Yes! A car like that would go over very well. A $20-23,000ish pricetag would probably give it the push it'd need. WRC is sure to continue to gain momentum in popularity and it should just be a matter of time before the series makes it over here.

I believe a similar version is already available in Europe, where the car is even more popular. I believe SVT was working on at least a turbo for their version. Why not AWD as well?

The front and rear ends are quite......fugly. Why is it that grills keep multiplying or getting bigger on these "Fast and Furious" cars?

An angle as to why it might NOT be a good idea:

Isn't a 'pre-customized' car an oxymoron?

Is it custom if anyone can go buy one?

And isn't being 'unique' one of the major reasons why 'ricers' do what they do to their cars?

First, while I think the Focus has it's place, it's just not in the sporty (not sports, sporty) car arena. And, it's quite fugly.

That said, it just seem this WRC thing is a little "me too"ish for me. Especially if they go with that WRC name. I would think Subaru might have something to say about that. Still, I give Ford credit for at least venturing into this territory.

Now, let's get the General to come out with a 300HP AWD coupe, and then I "will be there" with my checkbook.

2005 Grand Am?

Anyone know what the AWD version's HP rating is supposed to be yet?

Yes, definitely. Just like GM needs ANYTHING to fill in the WRX/Evo void that's sitting in the middle of their lineup.

If it doesn't gain too much weight over the current Grand Am, it might be pretty competitive.

Ya, this has the makings to be a potentially interesting car.
