Shelby GT500 KR in New York
Not only weight but size; Mustang looks great in those pictures as in most of the studio pics... But when you walk up to it, or pull up to it at a light its huge and brickish...
I really hope GM isn't pulling that same trick with silver paint and studio lighting...

I think the Mustang looks rather compact, actually.
I had a V6 for a rental car for a week, and it certainly feels kinda intimate (and smaller) relative to my 4th gen.
The GT500 versions probably look a little heftier visually with different ground effects and hood, I suppose (if they are different).

Looks like a pretty sweet car. Given what most people will use it for, the bragging rights of 540 HP is all you need.
To be honest, it is getting a little scary how much HP they are putting into some of these cars nowadays. Young kid + that much HP and weight = disaster.

ya know I was thinking the same thing recently.lets hope some rich daddy dosen't buy something like this for his 17 year old kid.Like having a machine gun instead of a pistol.
"Lets change the brakes, change the suspension and take the rear seats out and lets turn it into a sports car I was proud of the Hot Rodders that put it together because we did take something that was a secretaries car and turn into something that is remembered 45 years later as a performance car rather than a secretaries car."
I may be a Camaro fan but Carrol Shelby is the man!
It is OK though, because image is what sells cars. (I'd still take a GT500 if I had the money though
)

I told'em see you in 08 or 09 when the F5 and Challengers hit the road and the Shelbys will be collecting dust (well not really seeing as how it will probably be '11 or 12'), but I digress, everybody could do something stupid like the great not buy a Ford internetathon or just wait till the hot stuff from Ford is old hat and becomes a bargin (that is if your a mustang man, if your a Camaro or Challenger guy then you just gotta deal with the devil)
