You guys herd about this? Shelby is back on full force with Ford. I seen it on the news yesterday. Ford is on the right track good for them, bad for us. I wonder what GM is thinking now since there ugly ducklings GTO's are very poor on sales with the SSR right behind it, but also for the first time I have been hearing that the vet is not doing to well eather. Anyone know the stats on that?

Lots of good things are coming out from Ford in the next few years I like the fact that SVT will produce upwards of 5 specialty vehicles at any one time as well.

 

Somebody in this very forum broke the news of Shelby's return to Ford well over two years ago, including details of the legal matters, Shelby's new joint venture company, and the legal issues involved in Shelby renewing the copyrights on GT500, GT350, Cobra, and several other benchmarked names. That same person even dropped a proposed schedule for new products to be rolled out.
I forget who that was that posted all that stuff right now, but it was at least 2 years ago or more...

Just for kicks, I did a quick search for Shelby in this forum and found this thread from 2 years ago. It makes GREAT reading given what we now know about the new Mustang, the Cobra show car, the GR1, and the GT500 introduced last week.
Take a gander, and see how well we all fared in our "guesses" and hopes...
