I'm not trying to say everyone who bought one dislikes it...but the popularity and cache of them seems to be waning a little bit...which is the point of this whole thread.

Wrong. The point of this thread is to note the falling sales of the new generation of Scion. The cars got Americanized, so they are failing. That's it. They're too big, heavy, and ugly.

The original xB is not a "Stylish" car, but it is unique, and that is why alot of people like them. My dad has owned his 04 since new, and he loves it. It does exactly what it is supposed to, and is still something "Different".

I was all over the Scion brand since the announcement in '02 of the brand and cars. I love/d the fact that out of all the cool "JDM-only" cars that various import manufacturers had, that Toyota had the ***** to actually go through with bringing them to US soil.

The tC is a neat car, but the blind spot kills it for me. Visibility is a paranoia of mine. But those engines can hold some pretty damn good power. That's a big reason why I hate the new gen, besides weight and size. They have that dumbass two-foot wide C-pillar.

I've got used to mine, I just constantly check my mirrors to know where every car is around me .

The new xB and xD are horrible looking, and as stated weigh far to much than they should. I do however like my tC. For a cheap, economical car to get me around 'till the new Camaro gets here, it does just fine in my book

What do you get mileage wise if you don't mind me asking.

It get's OK gas mileage, I average 26/mpg or aout 350 miles to a tank. Though I have yet to spend over $40 to fill her up, so i'm happy about that.

Do you have a reading comprehension issue??? If the point of the thread is falling sales, and I mention popularity is waning, that too implies FALLING SALES, not MORE SALES. Are you with me? Hell, you say failing, and I'm saying failing too...

Did the word "waning" throw you off or what? If you bothered to read, you'd see I was AGREEING....

I read your post as completely referring to the first generation xB(due to your previous post). In order for something to wane, it has to wax, and no second gen Scion ever did wax. So you must have been referring to the original xB, which was a massive hit in the tuner shows and stuff...Logical train of thought, right?

Popularity of the brand as a whole, maybe, but I just never considered the brand as a whole being popular to begin with. They just built a couple of neat cars.

Sorry for misinterpreting. I read too far into **** sometimes.

I agree with others who posted, the xB became a heavy bloated looking box. The old one was a small unique looking ride. No wonder they're not selling. And I didnt know that their mpg took that much of a hit! Wow.

The tC isn't bad and probably one of the better looking small coupes out there. They just need to update that one better than they did with the others.
