Saw a Solstice on the road...

While I was at work today... It drove by me in the opposite direction. I definately didn't realize it was a Solstice till it passed me and I looked in my rear view mirror and I was like "holy crap!" I almost turned around to check it out but then realized if there was one then there'd be a lot more soon. I didn't even know they were in production yet...

I dunno if this was "New Thread" worthy, but I didn't see anything else relating to this so I brought it up.

lol I always feel so special living in Detroit when I read these threads. The Solistice is definitely an eye-turner when you see it on the road. There were a lot of HHRs at this year's Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit (August 20th), they look aight but man they were late to the party.

Re: Saw a Solstice on the road...

I saw on one I70 going home over the weekend. Even with the top up I thought it looked good (although I will admit I'm more for the Sky styling).

I really dont know how GM only expects to sell ~20k of these things. They're the first two cars from GM aside from the Corvette that I've heard very very few negative comments about.

Yeah, only 20K is ridiculous. They sold 100,000 Fieros in 1984. This car is a convertible, and has a lower base price in constant $. They should be able to blow them off the lots.

Unless, of course, the retarded $10,000 dealer markup comes into play.

I would like to see a Turbo Rotary equipped Miata. And if Luts had some nutz the Solstice would have a V8.

LMFAO!

I saw a Solstice a while back during a trip to Detroit, and was absolutely blown away by how low it was. It was like a skateboard rolling down I75.

I agree that the Solstice is a heck of a deal for $20K, and that GM might be able to sell a few of them. Too bad a hardtop isn't be introduced at the same time.
