if you were quoting me, i didn't make a typo. and i said it was sex not because of the scoops, but everything else that looked good on it, like the recessed grill, the rear bumper/dual exhausts. and just to clarify, I liked it before the restyle. now that I see that they haven't effed it up and it actually looks even better, I like it even more. if it had stayed the same for another year, i wouldn't have been disappointed. just one case where GM actually surprised me by doing a good job when I wasn't expecting it.

I agree. But you stated earlier that Ford had no control over what their dealers do.....

...so what makes GM any different in this regard? Do they have some sort of control over their dealerships that Ford does not?

well, yes but GM is better then Ford so thats how....

what I mean is that GM can control things by not allowing certain dealers to get what is a limited run car, and only give it to a few dealerships, to where the mass-produced Mustang will be a lot harder to just sell from just a handfull of dealerships then the 18k unit GTO.
Ford could try, but I would belive its a lot harder then it would be to do the same for the GTO. Pick a few dealerships per state and give them the GTO's. Much like there are certain SVT dealers(I belive), have only a certain dealers that can deal with teh GTO as well as future limited run cars like the Solstice and GXP models. I think this will solve the problem with giving each dealership its X amount of cars, it only gives the certain dealers the privilage to sell and work on Pontiacs performance cars. This will also give Pontiac that image of having these dealerships to offer certain things for performance of the vehicle. Just an idea that I wish GM would adapt to help solve problems like this.

Most of the pics showcase the new front end of the car, which I'll admit does look pretty good. However, once people start seeing these cars on the road, they will realize it's the same old boring-shaped car, except now it has a cool looking front fascia. I seen a GTO on the road the other day, and thought it had a side profile very similar to the Dodge Stratus, until I realized the Stratus looks better.
