Yes.... and that is the difference between liking a car... and loving it.

What this appeal shows me is that Lutz is telling the truth when he says there is NO CAMARO coming back. Why else would an ex-brand manager at Chevy have to show off a bunch of letters from camaro nuts? To convince someone? Who? Of what? The need to build a new Camaro? Or to get it here by '07?

get real.
Take a look at your precious Mustang's history circa 1989, ********. What saved that car from becoming the FWD slug Probe OR getting the ax altogether? Sorry for getting so cheesed but really, if RP is urging us to do something and we want to do it what's the problem? Why is this offensive to you? Are you worried that Camaro might come back?

I have a hard time believing that Scott would waste our time by having us document our feelings and passion for a car, and then waste his time by collecting all these letters, if it won't do an ounce of good.

What saved the stang was gear head insiders with REAL PULL, like Bill Ford, Colleti et al. Not any mustang enthusiast ground roots campaign.

I drive a '95 Impala SS and mid 12 sec 360 crate motored Dakota truck. And I'll buy whatever big muscle RWD car anyone puts out. So I welcome any Camaro or any high performance car GM chooses to put out. Please gimme a mid 20s 350hp SS or a $30K 400hp Z/28.

Again, what could a letter campaign about individual's experiences owning Camaros be about?

scenario 1) There is no affordable pony car being planned at GM for Chevy. A letterwriting campaign is totally useless.

scenario 2) There is an affordable Chevy pony car nearing production but not to be named Camaro. A letterwriting campaign could be useful if you're worried about the name. (I'm not. I'll consider it even if they called it GMX-whatever.)

scenario 3) An affordable pony car for Chevy is on the GM roadmap for the distant future ie. 2008 or later. A letterwriting campaign is totally useless.

I doubt scenario 1 would happen given the stang. Lutz is talking scenario 3. But on the off chance scenario 2 is real, carry on.

Scott as soon as I get some Printer ink that is The right stuff to print out copies of good pics then I will ship ours out. I will also have Dan put this assign. in the newsletter Then you will offically hear from members of PNWCC. But then again I will take pics of when ya come out in Aug to BELLEVUE. (no w in the word (giving ya a bad time))

Again I am sorry I havent gotten the stuff out to ya as of yet. But my stuff will come. Then ya see someone who has more promo models then you lol (man I am going to get hit for that one )

For those that havent had the chance to meet Scott you should really find out when or if hes going to be in your area or even close by & take the hike to go see him. Hes great on line & reading some of the stuff he writes, (man you need to write a book about the life & times of the camaro & you.)But its way better to hear it from him face to face.

There are souls in there headlights

V8 Camaros are WOMEN treat them wrong & they become Bytches treat them right & they purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Well of course what ultimately saved Mustang was the higher-ups inside, I'm not suggesting that Mustang had no support on the inside....things don't get done unless the right people say they should....but there is no doubt that a flood of well spoken (and even some nasty) letters and phone calls set some wheels in motion for people on the inside who up until that point actually believed a front wheel drive Mustang would work.

scenario 2) There is an affordable Chevy pony car nearing production but not to be named Camaro. A letterwriting campaign could be useful if you're worried about the name.

Funny, I think that's kind of what we're talking about here isn't it?

RP, I don't think you'd want any pictures of my Camaro. When I bought it, the front end was wrapped around the front of the motor. The previous owner was going about 140mph and lost control. He was able to drive the car after the wreck though.

Anyway, I'm rebuilding the motor to go in my impala. The rest of the car is being parted out to help other F-bodies live better lives

I've got quite a few 1:18 scale models, but only 2 are Camaros. I've got a lime green 69 and a black 02 SS. I've got several diecasts that I might be able to make a display out of. Most of my cars aren't F-bodies, but that makes sense because I've had this camaro about 6 months, and I only got it to part out.

Some people collect models and some people collect full scale models. BTW, he did say pictures of our cars would be fine. Besides a generational picture of me and my son and our three Camaros would pretty much tie into what he's intending to sell to the GM brass... that is not only are there older enthusiasts [mr. subliminal]buyers[/mr. subliminal] that indentify with CAMARO but younger enthusiasts [mr. subliminal]future buyers[/mr. subliminal] are indentifying with CAMARO as well.

No real camaro shrine, unless you count the bookshelf with the shop manuals and some camaro coffee table books on it - how about a pic of it in the garage with the vacum cleaner mounted on the wall and all the other detailign products on the shelf next to it?

I took a 3000 mile road trip in it a few summers ago and took a bunch of pictures of the car in front of stuff - perhaps that would work.

A 3000 mile road trip of America shows great enthusiasm for your car.
