They will probably put an automatic in it anyway. Its not like these cars will ever sell to the public, and they are probably gonna be modified at least some anyway. We already know the PCM is modified with the 45mph governor.

I had never driven in one before, I guess I was afraid I'd get in trouble. I should pushed it harder, damnit.

This is what is in the article when you click the link:

For one $10 ticket, visitors will get a choice of four laps on the performance loop, two laps on the off-road course or a combination of two performance laps and one off-road lap. A professional driver rides along in every car.
No editing here. I just copied and pasted the article very shortly after CNN put it on the net. I assume they edited it after I copied it.

On top of the article it now says :April 5, 2006: 4:15 PM EDT vs. April 5, 2006: 3:07 PM EDT when I originally posted it.

I guess alot can change in the automotive world in 1 hour and 8 minutes

They had something like this last weekend at Indy, but only with Pontiacs. I thought about going, but changed my mind because the NCAA Final-Four was going on in Indy that weekend too, and I am sure that Pontiac did this as part of there final-four promo.

Yea, he wants to know what makes you think that, when it's on a performance track, and they've had us go 80-100 on occupied roads in other test drives? The cars are always automatics in events like this.
