Ugh! I hate when topics get moved to this section. It gets barely a fraction of the Lounge's traffic.

At any rate... this is just dumb. Badges are tacky in the first place. And a "GM" badge is completely retarded.
I'd lay money on one thing though... I will gurantee you won't see that badge on the Vette.

Edit: I stand corrected. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...62&forum_id=74

F**king GM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARE YOU INSANE? I never visit the Lounge, so I guess this section's traffic is at least one person greater than the Lounge's.

tomnardone206,

I would have loved to hear the board meeting where they came up with this idea.

Gentlemen, we're losing sales to Toyota and Nissan. What can we do?

Well, we could investing in making quality cars that get decent mileage.
(laughter breaks out)
Seriously though. We just need to put a big GM emblem on all our cars and the customers will come back in droves.

I don't see the big damn deal! Although its prolly not such a great idea with all the anti-GM out there. If PPl are dumb enough to not know its GM, why tell em'. Some of us actually like GM, so that's why I don't get all this fuss!

as already said before, all the "fuss" is about the fact that it was money and energies wasted on something that only spoils the look and lines of a car that's already struggling to make sales. why does a GM car need ANOTHER brand tacked onto it? to quote Pacer Doesn't everyone already KNOW they are driving a GM car? why do we need to be reminded? and if the intended purpose is to somehow "impress" or persuade the non-GM buyer, THIS ISN'T GOING TO DO IT!

that's why "all the fuss."

Im not anti-GM, I agree with Darth's point of view on this. There is now gonna be this stupid little badge TACKED onto the outside of the vehicle! Im sorry, but when I drop about $45k on a brand spankin new Corvette, a little tacky GM badge sticking out like a sore thumb is gonna irritate me in all kinds of ways.

They could've put them somewhere in the interior if it was such a big deal to them....
