Rather upbeat review on the HHR
Rather upbeat review on the HHR
Not a bad review for the HHR on Canadian Driver. Of note is the lack of harping on the "PT Cruiser: been there done that" mantra that many of us on this site have been guilty of crying (well, maybe not crying:-) - you get the picture.

After several hundred kilometres behind the wheel of an HHR, I can report that this is a seriously capable and well-developed little car, truck, SUV, crossover – whatever!

Oh Canada.......Brm brm...brm brm brm...brm (don't know the worlds sorry)!
This guy should open up, the school of automotive journalism, and it should be a requirement to work at any auto rag. Informative, without all the GM bashing!
I think he got the name a little off, but still. I think its High Heritage Roofline, close enough though. That was a great review of a vehicle.

I just priced one out for the hell of it on nadaguides.com. It appears that for what you get, this thing is cheap!!
A "2LT" model that comes with the 2.4, sport suspension, 17s, ABS, chrome exhaust tip, auto dimming mirror with compass, chrome package, fog lights, power mirrors, and some other crap comes up to around $19,000 when you add the $395 polished wheels. Then add in a sunroof, 6 CD, chrome side roof rails, XM and something else I forget right now, and the total out the door with a stick is $20,785. For all that, with the utility this thing offers, its downright cheap.
FYI, base price is $15,995 with PW, PL, alloys and some other stuff standard. Not bad.

Re: Rather upbeat review on the HHR
You know what's wierd.
I opened up the Edmonton Journal a while ago and read an article in the car section.
It was a big article saying how the superior quality or import vehicles is a thing of the past and that it is all in everyones heads. The article stated that GM has finally caught up. And has even surpased alot of its import competitors. It backed this information up with all the statistics from JD and what not.
I was thinking HOLY CRAP!!!
Then I read an article about how awesome the new Chevrolet HHR is.
I couldn't believe it.
