Hmmm, I wonder if one could make an engine out of carbon fiber?

I'd rather have a McLaren F1.

Ever since I saw the Koenigsegg on Top Gear a while back I thought they were amazing. The car looks amazing, hands down, those doors just are icing on the cake.

And its a targa too!

And on the resin: there's probably high enough temp resin out there, but i bet the laying of the cloth would be impossible to consistantly test... And if not impossible, itd be cost prohibitive to the nth degree.

Its cool that he's only 33 with his own car company, but I'm guessing it's easier to start something like that in Sweden.

The 245 is impressive, but alot of us are forgetting something.
I bet you could regear and 8-second car, and it would get close to 240. That's with the horrible aerodymaics.

The only thing nice about the Koengsegg is that they are rare. Besides that, they are just an overengineered Ferrari.
BTW, they are made in an old jet factory....so I guess that's suppost to lead me to believe means they are advanced as jet right?

No, it makes me believe that Koenigsegg procured a factory to build it's car which just happened to be an old jet factory. Nothing more.

An 8 second car may hit 240, but the typical 8 second car is going to have horrible street manners.

That's an aluminum 4.6 Cobra motor with a carbon fiber timing cover.

I think that car was electronically limited because of the tires.
