I have it on good authority that the 6.1 Hemi will have a manual transmission. The 5.7 won't.
Also, I believe it was mentioned here already independently, but my same source says the 300C will gain a supercharger for the "SRT version". No word on the Magnum getting one.
*A reference to Dodge's signature "gunsight" grilles. (It's Friday, morning, so every joke is a bad joke)

Chrysler is going after performance buyers, and as ridiculous as it may sound, they are apparently going to include former Camaro & Firebird buyers in their gunsights, no pun intended*.

I just had a lovely experience with Dodge. I bought a 2000 Dakota 4x4 with the 4.7 V8. The next morning "knock knock knock" until it was warm. Dealership told me it was lifters. First off, its a SOHC motor, soooo....
Anyway, the dealer took the truck back after repeated failed attempts to fix the knocking... They refused to accept a rotating assembly problem.
When the truck was in the shop, I did some research on Dodge trucks... Having seen over 55 reviews just on one website about the Dodge V8's being destroyed with as little as 22,000 miles on them, I will never buy another Chrysler product EVER again.
Oh yeah, and as for warranty replacement, Chrysler said the "sludge" that was the main contributer to the engine failures was the OWNERS fault for not changing fluids properly. Who in their right mind buys a 25000-40000 vehicle and doesn't spend $20 on an oil change every 3000 miles? Besides that, today's engines should tolerate a 3500-4000 oil change interval. I spoke to a Dodge dealer recently and he stated point blank, that Dodge engines have extremely little tolerance and unless maintained to the EXACT degree, they will develop problems early. That proves to me that I don't want a Dodge. Its like, OH ****, I'm driving across the country and am 500 miles over an oil change, There goes my motor!

I don't think Dodge motors are that bad, I put 30K city miles on my 2000 4.7L Dakota in just over a year with 4K intervals between services. No engine problems whatsoever. I see the new owner driving it around everyonce and a while and he don't look like he's having any problems with it either....

Do a search for Dodge Dakota/Durangos and engine knocks....YIKES.
I know my parents have had some bad experices with Dodge/Chrysler dealers around here. They fixed one thing on my parents Stratus, then caused another problem, but insited it wasn't their fault. Come to find out it was when my dad had to fix it.
