Why can't they build the Sema concept? I would buy that in a heartbeat eventhough I'm currently looking at imports.

 

Yes the SEMA one looks pretty good.

They could really need to take the G6 line up a notch with a few little things.

 

I'm guessing you are talking about the steel-blue original G6 concept.

They can't build it because too many people would buy it

Pontiac cutting off their nose to spite their face again. God forbid they actually bulid something other than mainstream. I wish they had never released the original concept photos since it shows there is some passion within the walls of Pontiac somewhere- passion that will not see the light of day. I think it's frustrating, I can only imagine what the designers are going thru.

The original G6 is more of a cartoon of the production car. looks at the windows and chop top roof. It isn't a production feasible body.

You can put 22"s and tint the windows on a production car and it will look pretty close to the concept

Looks good. They should use wheels like that as stock.

 

I am guessing it will get the Saturn Aura's DOHC V6 or some variant. That way they can justify the cost of certifying the engine for the achitechture. If this is the case expect the G6 GXP about the same time as the Aura.

The GXP looks better because it is cladded up

 

Sure that's part of it. But if you look at the concept and then look at the production car - they literally share nothing, not even proportions.
