I've already seen more commericals for the GTO than I ever did for the Firebird/Trans Ams. Maybe they got the idea that that was a main reason those cars went under?

the advertising is great, the 2005 car is gonna be even better.. ls2 400hp, even with 350hp thats enough for 13 second quarter miles... I hope they keep up with the great commercials and get more cars over here to sell...

man some people.....they just don't get it. This argument is getting too old.
EDIT: to respond to the original thread, I love the new advertising gig they're on. My personal fav so far and I haven't seen the beginning of it...its obviously the review of someone's 3 car garage. already has a grand prix and i guess a grand am i'm not cuz i got the commercial halfway through...
camera pans out to an empty middle third stall, and the gto comes screamin in with an e-brake turn....then backs into the garage.

NOTE: Explain this "mild LS1" comment. How can something be "mild" when it has the highest HP of any LS1 car (tied with the Vette).

I really think the anti-GTO feeling is misplaced. It almost perfectly compares to the original. Unless of course you have the common misconception that the musclecar years were nothing but over-the-top 12 second tire-shredders.
