Pontiac.com Firebird Heritage webpage

I just stumbled upon this at www.pontiac.com ... don't know how long it's been up:

http://www.pontiac.com/firebird/index.jsp?source=old

One of the few signs in a while that Pontiac even remembers what a Firebird is...

Might mean nothing, but it can't be a bad thing that they spent the time and effort and money to set up a little web presence for the 'Bird.

They're probably trying to attract Firebird/TA buyers to the GTO. Notice that they link to the new GTO Web page.

On a related note, go to chevy.com. They have finally taken down the Camaro page and all links to it.

You can bet there'll be something like that for the Camaro sooner or later.

Notice how they say "The fire inside Pontiac present and future" though, but they messed up when they say there was 5 Gens.

I think they actually mean the Firebird has been around for 5 generations, as in decades. Like from 1967 to the 70's, 80's, 90's, and then 2000. At least that's what I hope they mean.

It's just Pontiacs way of building buzz about the Firebird.
Chevy is doing it with the ads with the Camaro in it; Pontiac is just doing the same thing, just more subtle.

This website and the use of a Firebird in the new Matrix movie prove that.
