I've heard a lot of people saying that Pontiac and buick are "damaged brands". My question is:why? And how come Oldsmobile was cut off? I know these are stupid questions, but I'm 18, and for the first 17 years of my life, I could have cared less about cars. Now, I like them, and I'm wondering about these GM divisions.

use the search feature... it is your friend. These forums are a wealth of information with a lot of knowledgeable people, even people who work closely with certain car companies. A lot of questions have already been answered and your particular question has be debated about over and over again.
