Poll of the week: Chevy styling

Poll of the week: Chevy styling
To break from all the doom and gloom surrounding GM that permeates this board so frequently, I decided to do another Poll of the Week (which oddly enough, doesn't happen every week )
In your opinion, which Chevy cars are designed right? Not from a drivetrain perspective, or luxury, just plain styling.
Just to make it clear, pick the ones that you LIKE and you think are a good execution of styling.
Oh, and I couldn't include any more. If the demand rises, we'll get one up for SUVs/trucks.
Edit: One last thing, you are allowed multiple choices.

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
i went:
-Vette(one of the best looking cars on the road road right now)
-HHR(just a cool little ride)
-Impala(leaning towards the SS)
-Malibu Maxx('cause it's the closest thing to a wagon GM has right now).

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
I voted:
-Cobalt : Easily the best looking small car on the road right now. I get almost as many compliments on my Cobalt then I do my Camaro. The car is hot.
-Corvette : This is a given
-HHR : HHR is actually a good looking vehicle and all I hear are good things about it. The one my supervisor had as a loaner last week was very nice and he thought the same.
-Impala : This is the way Impala should of looked already. SS was done right also.

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
1. Corvette -- duh, I absolutely love the C6... even more so after driving one.
2. SSR -- Again, I loved everything about this truck from day one, except for the price. After test driving one, the price isn't as shocking to me. (Although I still think its over priced.)
3. HHR -- Styling kicks ***, but I don't think I'll be buying one soon. (Too small for my fat ***.)
4. Cobalt -- 10x the car the Cavalier was. If I was into FWD sports compacts, a Cobalt SS Supercharged would top my list.
5. Impala -- If I were in the market for a 4-door sedan today, I would strongly consider an '06 Impala. I love the mature yet agressive styling.

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
I really like these. For their class, i think they're styled very well.
- c6 corvette. No explanation needed here.
- GMT-900 trucks. Yukon and Escalade both look great inside and out for SUV's. Not sexy by any means, but i think they look great for what they are. Looking forward to new Silverado and Suburban.
Okay/bland looking. I'm indifferent to these as far as style. They're appliences so maybe this isn't a bad thing, but i feel like GM could have done alot better.
- Cobalt (i do like SS coupe though)
- Impala
- Monte
Cool idea, but not that great an execution
- HHR. It screams "cool", but it shouts "ugly" as well.
Just horrible.
- Aveo. It's a cheap pos daewoo. Reminds me too much of metro.
Hated, but kinda growing on me
- HHR (looks alot better than PT cruiser). Don't think i'll ever like it, but there'll probably be a day when i don't hate it .

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
Impala is good, but it would need a little more Chevy styling for me to call it right. 4 round tail lights like the 00-05 or Cobalt would be a start.
Monte Carlo should have got a Cobaly like back end in the latest restyling.
The 2007 Aveo is good, but not the 04-06

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
I voted for Vette, HHR and Cobalt. The Impala is a little too bland, the MC isn't "new" enough, and the rest are just ok. Except the Uplander. That thing needs a bullet. Now.

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
Cobalt is the only one that has no major flaws in my mind. I don't think it stands out as well as the then-new Cavalier coupe did in 1994, but it's still an attractive design.
- I still can't get used to the Citroen-like exposed lights of the C6, and the flat-bottomed air dam on it doesn't sit well with me for some reason either. C5 was much better looking.
- Aveo is dorky looking
- Impala/MC are blandmobiles
- HHR is too much of a rip-off
- Malibu is much improved this year, but the headlights are too high
- SSR is original and well-executed, it's just not my cup of tea
Right now a Cobalt would be the only Chevy I'd seriously consider.

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
I only voted for the 'Vette, I really like the new Z06 and the normal model looks pretty good. The only thing that bothers me is that to me the new 'Vette looks very much what I expected it to look like, pretty good looking, but not quite were it could be...Most of the new Chevys look really soft, they have no attitude what-so-ever...The new Cobalt is alright, and the SS Supercharged is pretty cool for what it is. Although, if I were in the market for that type of car, I'd take the SRT-4 or SRT-4 ACR in a heartbeat over it. Again, it's a nice car but I think for the market it's competing in it's just too soft for my tastes, (from what I've heard about it at least). The new Impala, Monte and Malibu all look pretty bleh...I would have to say that I like the Malibu SS the best of the 3. The SSR... well, it's to heavy, to expensive, and I'm not into the retro styling. The HHR doesn't really do anything for me, I guess it's better than a Scion xb though... Lastly, the Aveo... Hmmm, it's very cute and I wouldn't be caught dead in one, lol.

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
I voted:
Vette - Again, no-brainer
Monte - Must be those SS wheels
Malibu - Not really sure why - just seems nice.
I did not vote Cobalt because for some reason, it seems too tall, too lifted. They never jacked the S10 up or the full size like this in a proportioned sense.
Now if this was a Cadillac styling thread...?

Re: Poll of the week: Chevy styling
You left out "None of the above"
No, seriously, the only Chevy I like is the 'vette. I was just thinking about GM styling this morning on the way to work. GM works so hard to put everything together to make a great vehicle; engine, chasis, marketing, price, quality, fuel economy, etc...then they slap some silly facade on it and call it a day. It looks thike they spent years on the underpinnings of the vehicles, but only spet a few hours on design. Then, after the vehicles are released all the GM execs sit around scratch their heads and wonder why they're losing market share. It's simple, most people don't buy a car based on what's under the body. They want looks and quality. GM only has 1/2 of the answer IMO.
