I love driving standard, but then again, I also am not closed-minded and I know that 90+% of the standard drivers out there can't launch or shift like an auto, and since speed & winning are what it's about, then give me 400 HP + auto transmission any day of the week!!

That is an exceptable answer, you could also buy the V6 and add a supercharger.

It wouldnt be a sports car if it doesn't have a manual tranny. Just my opinion I will not own a Camaro if it's an automatic.

I'm sorry, but when has the Camaro ever been a sports car?

Well, maybe not a sports car, but certainly a performance car. At any rate, cars like Camaro are designed around the premice of enhancing the experience of driving . Buying one and then getting options that reduce driver involvement and the driving experience is kind of pointless, IMHO. Why not get dynaride while your at it? It's like buying a heavy duty high ground clearance SUV with 2WD or a sailboat with an outboard. Why bother. But hey, that's just me.

Screw the manual, I want paddle shifters on the steering column!

I'd vote but I don't see a "won't buy a Camaro" option

I would never buy a sports or economy car with an automagic tranny. I wouldn't buy the non-performance model of a performance car.

The only auto cars that ever made sense to me are the luxury cars. You want to be removed from the driving experience then.

Oops, forgot to add drag cars to the auto list. I wouldn't buy a new car and turn it into a drag car though.

I would not get a Camaro if it didn't come with a V8 and 6 speed manual.

Only exception/consideration would be a fast paddle shifter, like BMW's SMG.

yea but thats more money you have to dump into the car, effecitvely driving the cost up and value down..

That and you've just voided the warantee on probably the whole powertrain of a brand new car... no thank you..

Why is it NOT a sports car? What is your definition of a sports car?
