Got this off of another forum. Looks sweet!!!

I wonder if Caddy will ever try to step up to this.

Oh yeah, I also think that this new M5 is V10 powered.

From that angle you can't see the odd slashes in the sides or the frumpy looking rear end. It actually looks decent.

I'm looking for the V12 to go in the STS-V to take out a V10 M5.

Its definitely a BMW. Hard for me to get excited when they all look the same.

I'm really going to miss the old 5 series design.

Actually this is the one BMW that looks different . The new breed of bimmers is certainly... umm... unique and unorthodox in design.

This shot looks very good. I would like to see if they have done anything to the back of the M5 to somehow make those taillights stand out less.

I still think the old 7 completely blows away the new 7 in the looks department.

I think the correct term is TIZZIGHT!

But it is a shame that BMW's exterior styling is going into the crapper.

I like it. It's not your typical BMW. If it's as fast as a 500hp V10 should be, it'll be mighty quick to boot. Time for Caddy to step the STS to this level now.

I'm sorry folks but that car is butt ugly.
Maybe I don't see the genius in the style, self proclaimed by the BMW designer responsible for the strange styles on the Z4 and 7 series. Now he's moved onto the 5 series and soon the 3 series will follow. I think its a mistake but BMW did need some change. Yet IMO now they all look more alike than before. I didn't think it was possible.
I know the car is powerful and a blast to drive but its damn ugly...
Atleast Mercedes look good...

I happen to like this design better than the current 5 series for a couple of reasons.

1. The old 5 series was always really conservative and "strait edged." As a matter of fact, the higher the series, the more conservative the styling got. Maybe its because I'm a young guy, but I happen to like curves and smooth lines on a car. I like the new cars blend of curves with edginess. I do like the old 3 series though and hope they dont screw with them too much.

2. The old M5's front facia looked like an afterthought (which it probably was) and didnt blend in with the body as well as it did on the M3. This M5 looks like it was designed all at once, everythign blends.

Just my opinion though...

Its actually lifting the front inside tire. Must have a lot of grip...
