Yep . Great performer, but it is one ugly/gaudy ride.

Looks like the same headlights that will appear on the Lancer Ralliart and Sportwagon this year (aside from being blacked out some). The foglamps are nice... look same as they have in the past when they've been on the car. Lighting aside, looks pretty much the same.

Also notice the upper right of the picture: Lancer Evolution IX. Does that make it the EvoII over here?

 

I think that picture has been proven to be a photochop many times. Only time will tell. I've heard that the evo 9 will be the last "evolution". It seems that WRC is moving towards hatchbacks, ex ford focus. It may be that that mitsubishi will put this driveline in the colt for future competion although I know that for atleast next season Mitsubishi will still be using the lancer due to development time constraints. The evo won the U.S. Championship by the way.

As far as defending my car, its fairly fast (beats every mustang that trys me), you can not beat the handling or the "feel" of the car, not even with a vette, and for $30k I still have a lot of money in my pocket for mods. As for looks, to each his own. I get plenty of compliments (the altezas were replaced a long time ago )

 

Seems so, you can pick "Colt Evolution" out of the Japanese text next to the picture. I wonder what Subaru plans to do...

Oh, I think I still might take a used Vette!

 

That was pretty much my first reaction, too. The picture on the left illustrates this very well.
