The biggest problem with the El Camino is that it only seats 2-2.5 people. Just look at Crew/Ext cab truck sales in the last 15 years, they have exploded. A new El Camino would be a niche vehicle, I see very few people buying it as a primary car. When I look at cars like the Solstice, GTO, Lightning, and even ZQ8 reg cab Colorado I can't help but think there would be no way an El Camino would sell much over 30,000/year in the USA.

30,000 El Caminos per year would be way more than enough. Likely, they would be imported from Holden rather than built here. They could be the replacement for the GTO exports Holden will lose. Caminos have always been niche products and as such make sense as a Holden export. Just another way to make Zeta more profitable.
